There’s nothing better than working in a well-organized space and this is definitely true in the kitchen. Enhance your food-prep experience with these clever kitchen organizers.
I’ve become a really big fan of organizational products this last year or so. I used to always try to get by with just making my own organizers out of recycled materials that I found around the house, and sometimes they worked really well, but sometimes… not so well. Sometimes it can be such a little luxury to have a sturdy product that was engineered specifically to deal with whatever storage issue you’ve been having. I’ve also noticed that I do seem to really keep up with keeping things neat and tidy if I’ve made a small monetary investment in that particular drawer, cupboard, or closet. It doesn’t take much, like when I bought all new hangers and just one simple shelf and transformed my closet, but it really makes a difference! Now it’s time to look at some kitchen organizers.
Since finishing up our mini kitchen renovation, I’ve started bringing in some supplies to organize my basic drawers and cupboards and make my kitchen really have that super-functional “dream kitchen” feeling to it. You know what I mean. Everything is organized, easy to find, and always seems to look beautiful. That kind of kitchen is what I’m going for. 🙂
I thought it would be fun to share some neat ideas for different kitchen organizers that I’ve found today if you’re thinking about getting your kitchen in tip top shape too!
Clever Kitchen Organizers
I love this vertical pan and cutting board rack because it’s exactly what I need in my kitchen right now! Actually, I’m going to order a few of these as soon as we’re done with our renovations. My cutting boards and baking pans are all stored exactly like this except that they’re just leaning against a wall and they always end up falling over. This is the perfect solution for keeping them inside a cupboard but still having them easy to access and tidy!
I’m pretty sure I first saw these shelves on TV a couple of years ago and I kicked myself for not having the kind of brain that could come up with something like this! These shelves expand to fit perfectly in any cupboard and create these little mini ledges all around the inside of your shelf to help you store whatever little things you need to keep organized but still easy to see. They’re great for spices, but I could also really use one for my tea collection, essentials oils, and even for vitamins, supplements, and stuff like that!
I love the idea of creating space out of nothing, and these little under-shelf baskets do just that! It’s like suddenly having 2 extra kitchen drawers!
Bins, Bins and more Bins
I use clear plastic bins just like these in my fridge and I love them! I use them to store yogurts and snacks for the kids, veggies, fruits, leftovers, or any other foods that make sense to keep grouped together. I like that I can easily pull out one whole bin and look inside to find what I’m looking for instead of trying to rearrange the whole fridge to find that one tiny jar that made its way into the back corner. You can find them specifically made to hold eggs, cans, 2 liter bottles, wine bottles, and all kinds of other things too!
These simple bin-style drawer organizers are exactly what I use in most of my drawers. They come in different sizes so they’re totally customizable for your needs, but they also have non-slip grip on the inside and on the bottom so they stay put in your drawer and also keep your stuff in place too. I love them for keeping knives exactly where I want them as well as small plastic food storage containers and their lids. Well, and everything else. Like I said, they’re in most of my kitchen drawers; these are probably my favorite kitchen organizers!
Clever Cupboards
Another thing that we have in our kitchen is a built-in spice rack on the back of one of our cupboard doors. I’m surprised how often the picture of that rack gets pinned considering how dark and outdated our kitchen was up until a few weeks ago, but it really is a very functional storage solution! These spice clips are a great, quick, affordable way to get the same type of spice storage in just a few seconds of work!
This can organizer is just a thing of beauty!
Sometimes a simple adjustable shelf is just the thing though! You really do double the amount of stuff that you can grab easily in your cupboard with a simple riser like this!
Pots & Pans
I keep seeing pictures of these frying pan racks floating around on Pinterest and finally I just had to track one down and see where I could get one. It turns out that they’re actually pretty common, which makes me wonder where I’ve been all these years! I’m definitely going to have to find a good cupboard to house one of these. Just imagine how fun it would be to not have to unstack all of your frying pans every time you need one!
And these lid organizers too! So neat! (Literally. Hehe.) You could mount one of these on a wall for easy access or even inside a cupboard door to keep them out of sight! Love it!
If you’ve got odds and ends in your kitchen that don’t really have a place to be put away, large glass jars will contain them, and make almost anything look tidy and organized even if they’re left out in plain view! I love these for single serve coffee maker pods, tea bags, kids’ snacks, or even junk drawer stuff like pens and sticky notes!
If you have a spot where you keep cleaning supplies in your kitchen, one of these mop and broom holders can make all the difference! I love that this one has hooks on it too because I like to hang up cleaning brushes and dusters on hooks to keep them from getting crushed and damaged.
Do you have any clever kitchen organizers? What do you use in your kitchen to keep things organized?
